Biography of Justin Stanchfield
So Who Is This Justin Guy, Anyhow?
Writer, rancher, musician and snowplow driver, Justin Stanchfield has worn many hats in his time. Usually, that hat is a beat up old baseball cap, or just as often a beat up old cowboy hat.
In the winter, if it’s really cold, he wears a wool toque. Once he was forced to wear a hardhat. He threw it away.
He is the author of more than one hundred short stories, several of which have appeared in the Year’s Best Science Fiction anthology, as well as his novels Timewalker, Bounty’s Stepchild and the soon to be released Space Cowboy from WordFire Press.
He is a dad, a grandad, a teller of tales and singer of songs who owns far too many guitars according to his long-suffering wife. A private pilot (who can’t afford to fly anymore) and avid cross-country skier, Harley rider and holder of a Commercial Driver’s License, his favorite mode of transportation is, and always shall be, horseback. He lives with his wife and family on a ranch in the Bighole Valley of southwest Montana.
He considers mayonnaise to be a toxic substance and owns far too many border collies.
